My days normally are off to the same start everyday. The first alarm is set to go off at 3:40am. And because I’m like many other human beings, I have a second alarm that goes off at 3:50am, haha. For the sake of wanting to spend time with my family in the afternoon/evening, I wake up this early to go to the gym and get a solid workout in. I’m normally in and out by 6:00am. No – I don’t workout from 4:00 – 6:00. Normally I don’t even get to the gym until 4:45 or 5:00. So why do I get up much earlier? Well, I need the time to wipe the sleep from my eyes so that I arrive to the gym ready to go!
The rest of the morning is pretty straight-forward. I get ready for work, and I’m out the door by 7:00am. Though I do have a coffee machine at home, I tend to be in a small hustle to get going. So much like this morning, I’ll swing by Biggby Coffee and get a tall brew. Somedays it’s black coffee; other days, it’s with cream and a dash of vanilla flavoring just for taste. Then it’s off to work (which I briefly discussed what I do in a prior post). And like any day, much like this morning, I can only hope and pray that it’s a day with decent challenges and realistic requests. But, I mean.. c’mon. We all know that’s too much to ask for 😅.
